| STATUE OF IMMACULATE CONCEPTION SPONSORED BY THE GRADUATES OF IMMACULATA ACADEMY AND IMMACULATA-LASALLE HIGH SCHOOL AND BLESSED BY ARCHBISHOP FAVALORA ON SEPTEMBER 9, 2006.

In 1982 the name of our school was changed to LaSalle High School. For those of us who attended Immaculata Academy and Immaculata-LaSalle from 1958 to 1981, this was a decision that left us without a real connection to our school. The Sisters of St. Joseph were no longer the administrators or faculty and they were replaced by the Salesian Order who continue with the administration of the school.
Sister Pat Roche, the present principal of the school, understands the frustrations of the Immaculata graduates and after a very positive meeting with members of the class of 1966 graciously agreed to renaming the main administration building Immaculata Hall. This proclamation was issued during our class visit to the school on April 29, 2006
The graduates of Immaculata Academy and Immaculata-LaSalle, commissioned a statue of the Immaculate Conception to be made in Italy by Conrad Moroder. His studio is located in Otesei, Val Gardena, Italy and his family has been carving and casting religious sculptures for many generations.
On September 9, 2006 at 5:00 P.M. in the gymnasium, we are all invited by LaSalle High School to join them for Remember, Rebuild and Renew....A commemorative Blessing and Celebration to welcome home all alumni, families and friends. His excellency John Clement Favalora Archbishop of Miami will betow his blessings on Immaculata Hall and our Statue of Immaculate Conception.
We encourage all to attend the ceremony. We need a strong showing of the graduates of Immaculata Academy and Immaculata-LaSalle in support of our efforts to bring back the Immaculata name. So far, we have Immaculata Hall, our Statue will be placed at the entrance to the newly named Immaculata Hall and the Alumni association has changed its name from LaSalle Alumni Association to Immaculata-LaSalle Alumni Association so we are making progress.
A cocktail reception will follow immediately at the newly rebuilt cafeteria.
